Dr Claudel Parent-Boursier is a registed psychologist through l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec since 2015. She completed her doctorate degree in clinical psychology and applied research at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). She is a Clinical Research Associate at the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT) at the University of Regina and currently involved in the Public Safety Personnel Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She also contributed to a longitudinal study on the influence of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder on children and young adults. Furthermore, Claudel acquired experience while working in private clinics such as Centre d’Expertise Marie-Vincent and the Psycho-Centre Roussillon, where she provided assessment and individual or family treatment services to clients. She also worked in government founded health facilities, contributing to psychological treatments offered in local community service center (CLSC) and Philippe-Pinel National Institute of Legal Psychiatry in Québec. Through out those experiences, she worked with individuals in distress and particularly after potentially traumatic events; the Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, its impacts and treatment are main interests in her practice.
